Joliet Junior College will host its annual Night of Stars, presented by the JJC Institutional Advancement Office, virtually this year on April 15 at 6 p.m. to honor three individuals, a business partner, and donors from the past two years.
Night of Stars was created in 2018 to recognize community members and alumni for their service with JJC. Whether that be through volunteering, career achievement, or their commitment to the college. It serves as a combination of multiple past events in one evening of celebration and acknowledgment
William Conte, who graduated in 1985, will be receiving the Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award. Peter L. Neff will also be recognized posthumously with the Susan H. Wood Hall of Fame Award. The event will also recognize Board of Trustees Chairman Robert Wunderlich. After 44 years of service, he has announced his retirement at the end of this term.
LyondellBasell Industries, one of the world’s largest plastics, chemicals and refining companies, will be introduced with a new category. At the event, they will be presented the Partners in Excellence Award.
Night of Stars will also honor the major gift donors of 2019 and 2020, who have given gifts of over $5,000.
This year, the event will be free to the public. Those interested must register at jjc.edu/night-stars.
