Women’s Basketball: Lady Wolves defeat Illinois Valley
The Lady Wolves defeat Illinois Valley 72-55 on Saturday, Dec 6.
Head coach Shaun Sanderson was satisfied with his team’s victory, but as always, expects improvement.
“I think we played down to Illinois Valley’s level,” said Sanderson. “Since they only had five players, we ende up making it harder than it really needed to be.”
Sanderson was particularly vocal and apparently frustrated with the officiating early on in the second-half.
“I’ll just say some of the rules weren’t rightfully enforced. I’ll just leave it at that.”
However, Sanderson also added that his team will “take the win.”
The Lady Wolves will look to get to 8-3 in their next game as they visit Daley College on Tuesday, Dec 9, at 5 p.m.
