JJC Library, Wordeater host open mic
The JJC Library and the Wordeater hosted an open mic night on April 26 in celebration of National Poetry Month and National Library Week.
The open mic was a part of the JJC Library community open house activities.
The event was well-attended, with five student speakers and retired JJC Professor Ted Thompson, who was a previous faculty adviser for the literary magazine and organization.
“We’re very thankful for the opportunity the JJC library provided for us through this collaboration,” said Sydney Reppy, a student leader from the Wordeater.
“Everyone was excited to share their work, and we had a great turnout and event.”
